Calling all readers...

I need some ideas! :)

First... For Caden's second birthday, we are putting him in a big boy bed...possibly bunkbeds (aachh!) in Carson's room (which will technically be his and Carson's room at that point, and we are thinking about doing a rock and roll theme, minus the scary part of the rock and roll...they are only almost 2 and 3 1/2. Think musical rock n roll, not KISS rock n roll. :) I found this fun fabric that I am going to use to cover a lamp shade and possibly make curtains and/or a valance for their window, and probably pillow shams for their beds and maybe decorative pillows too.

I also found some wall decals... one is this electric guitar, and I also found a similar drum set thing. Any other ideas to help make the room feel rock n roll-ish?

Carter's crying, so I'll have to submit my other request later. Thanks for your ideas!

You could take pictures of the kiddos and do those cool rocker silhouettes that are popular right now.

I think Carson on the drums would be adorable!

it's always easy to hang c.d's and/or vinyl records on the wall. some fun abstract art or mirrors are cool too...i think ikea has some fun shaped mirrors...

you could do a handprint in one of those kits and frame it like the walk of fame. or a spot light for a light like track lighting.

okk...so to solve our problem of so much laundry, children with a love of crafting (you should hear hayden 50 times a day) and a pack of children that are all within the same ages, i've decided we need to be neighbors! just come'on back to the great state of texas and all our problems will be solved :) i'm glad to know i'm not alone in this laundry mounded world!

I love the fabric!! So big boy cool..:) You could find some neat pictures of different instruments off the internet, copy, color print, and hang them in black or blue frames. I have a few pics in the boys play room of different instruments....a trumptet, guitar, saxaphone, ect. Which the boys love. Anyways, wish I was as crafty as you, and could sew!!! That is so awesome you can do all that. Love ya lots, Britt

I totally like the idea of Mama PC with the white and black piano keys on the wall. Love the theme of music. It totally fits your family. I miss hearing Cary sing. He and you both have such great voices.

The music store has great ways to hang real instruments...my guys always hung their's in their bedroom. Are you planning for them to learn something you can use? Some kid sized instuments. The music store has inexpensive and colorful shakers, tuners, clackers etc... You can get lot's of ideas there to incorporate. And those rope lights are cheap and colorful too.

Cute idea!
