Moving!!!

Yep, that's right! We're moving to Colorado. Cary has accepted a youth/college pastor position at Solid Life Christian Center in Castle Rock, CO, and I get to be a stay-at-home mom!! We are just thrilled! Our kids are just awesome and desire God's move in their lives so much! We can't wait to hit the ground running!

Now for the crazy part... We are hitting the road in 11 days. Yep. 11! We are loading the trucks and driving (well, Cary and some guys from the church are driving, I'm flying with Carson :)) on August 26th and 27th. I have only 12 boxes packed so far and so much more to go! I know it will all come together though. Oh, and today we are signing a lease for our 3-bedroom, 2-bath, almost 1300 sq. ft. apartment that we are only paying $800 a month for! God is so good!! All of the other apartments in the area were smaller and closer to $1300!

This move is bittersweet, because most of our friends are here, as well as Cary's family, but we are so excited for what God has in store for us. I am overwhelmed already with how He is working out the details.

God Is So Good! All of the time!!!
It is probably very obvious how excited Bella & Poppi are, but not just for us but for the youth group at SLCC and how the Lord is moving in and using Melissa & Cary's live. We never know what tomorrow will hold, but it is awesome to know that He holds us. Which is very apparent in how he has worked all of the details out.
We love you, and we wish that all of your friends were just coming along with you!
Love,
Bella/Mom/Sherri

Congrats Melissa and Cary!! I know you are excited about being a stay-at-home Mom!! We will miss you here, so you will have to come and visit!! I know Cary's family will be sad, but it will be an excuse to come visit their favorite place in the whole world!! :) Good luck packing and moving and don't overdo it!!

Thanks Rachel! I will do my best to not obsess over the small stuff while I load up our home! :)

That's just what we told DeAnne! I really do hope they come visit often. It will make it easier for all of us. It's really important to Cary and I that Carson grows up being close with his grandparents.

Oh how wonderful! I'm so glad you get to stay at home! That is a huge blessing! Don't stress about moving. Everything will get done. Enjoy the bittersweet moments before you leave. I'm so happy for you guys. I know this is a huge answer to prayer!

That is great for y'all! I am very happy that you will be able to stay at home with Carson too. He needs his mommy. I can just see his little face and those lips. How cute! I am glad Josh and I got to meet him and see y'all when we did cause who knows now when we will see ya! Maybe we will just have to take a trip after the baby is born. Tell Cary that we are praying for him and his new journey to becoming a youth pastor and I will be personally praying for you in becoming a youth pastor's wife! God bless and take care. Hope to see y'all soon again.

Thanks for your sweet comments everyone!! I promise I will keep blogging as I can so that we can keep in touch that way. And please know that we will have a spare bedroom, so anytime you and your families want to check out Colorado (it's beautiful by the way-I'll have to post a picture of our view) you can stay with us! We would love it!! We already have some friends who are coming to visit in September and we can't wait!

I'm so happy for you (though i am sad that our kids won't get to play together very much);) We will miss you guys so much but i know God has ordered your paths and I know you are so excited to be close to your family.

We will definitely have to come visit once our little one is old enough.

Take care and don't stress out!! We only had 11 days to move as well and it all worked out :)
