Our Beautiful Boy, Caden...

CHIPPED his two front pearly whites! :(

How, you may ask??? NO IDEA!

They weren't chipped yesterday as far as we know, but they were chipped when he got up this morning. I'm so very sad. I called my mom - who worked in various areas of the dental field for forever - and she said that if he's not hurting, a repair would be purely cosmetic, and since these will be among his first teeth to go missing, we probably won't do anything about it unless they get worse. But I'm so sad. I swear this child is our reason for having health insurance. I see many, MANY ER visits in our future...

Here's a closer view of the damage. Notice how unfazed he is by it all...

That is sooo funny, I can't believe he didn't cry. When I was younger I chipped my front tooth on a boy's head at church. We both were unfazed. It was of course after I had lost my baby teeth so even though I got it fixed it still fell out and to this day I have the nickname Chip because my front tooth is still chipped. He is soo adorable though.....He looks so grown up. I do believe him and Addyson would have so much fun together. Too bad we don't live closer.

I don't know if you remember, or if I even told ya, but Chandler had the same thing happen to him, and the chipped teeth caused us to have to get composite (white fillings) in his two front teeth at an early age, then....by the time he turned five, they were darker than the rest of his teeth due to food/juice stains, but he lost his front one this summer, and his other front tooth is very loose. Didn't want to worry you, but thought I would let you know, our dentist said that his 2 fronts, from being chipped, were more vulnerable to cavities, thats why we had to get them filled at age four.....but it all worked out in the end........and Mr. Caden is still just as handsome as ever......so cute!!! Love and miss ya'll...HUGS Brittney
