Picture Overload Coming. :)
We had Christmas at home this year because of my accident. We had originally planned to spend the holidays with some of Cary's family in Houston, but since I'm really just now walking on my own (albeit still in a walking boot), it just wasn't in the cards. We missed getting to see everyone, but it was nice to be home. That hasn't happened very often for Christmas. We had a Christmas Eve service at our church, and spent Christmas Eve evening at our house. It was laid back, and normal, and I loved it! :) My favorite part of Christmas was having the boys wake up here to have Christmas at our house and breakfast together. The boys had more presents than they knew what to do with, I think, but Carson and Caden kept up with it all and were super excited over everything they opened. It didn't matter if it was an awesome new toy or underpants, they were thrilled! :) Carter was just happy to be here. He opened a few things and messed with the toys in their packages and drank his milk, while everything happened around him. :) After that, we went to my Mom and Dad's for lunch/brunch and had Christmas with them. Then that evening we went to Grandma Lola's house for Christmas with my Dad's side of the family. It was a great day, and we were pooped by the end! :) This morning, Carson wanted to know if it was going to be Christmas tomorrow. I told him that Christmas was over, but that it would come again next year, and he got so excited! It's good to know that it made an impression. :)
Now for pictures...
Discovering stockings... Carson and Caden's super cool pjs are from DeeDee & Papa Tom....they even have capes!
Both of the boys got new underpants in their stockings, and Caden has since potty trained himself! Woo-hoo!!! :)
I love this tid *(Caden doesn't say the hard C sound at the beginning of words...so anything starting with a hard C is said with a T... Tarson, Taden and Tarter.... )
Carson with his juggling set.
like I said... this kid can CHUG his milk!
Checking out the new car collection:
See how excited Caden is??? This is approach to life! I hope he never changes. :)
Superman!!
Na-na na-na na-na na-na Batman!!
So, if any of you blog friends have boys, these playskool *I believe* helmet toys are the coolest! The boys love them, and they are by far the favorite new thing at our house... tied only with the super cool costumes they received from DeeDee & Papa Tom as well... seriously, coolest costumes.... I'll have to remember to pull out my camera when the boys are in one of their many get-ups. :)
Carter already has his cheesy camera grin down.... I didn't even ask him to smile, silly boy. :)
"hugs for brothers!" - this usually ends with them hugging each other so tightly that they fall over, at which time the wrestling match begins.
Once again, cheesy grin....
This is my brother and his girlfriend, Lo (Lauren)...isn't she a doll???
Dad & Carson...
Hope you all had a merry Christmas too, and that you are enjoying January!! It is FRIGID here!!! Like crazy cold. I'm SO ready for a normal Colorado winter...this is NOT it. :)
